The word acne refers to a chronic skin disease characterized by an inflammatory process of the hair follicle and the attached sebaceous gland, called in common language pimple or pimple.
Usually the most affected part is the face, but acne can also be present on other parts of the body such as the shoulders.
Generally acne is a skin problem of oily skin, but can also affect mixed skin that tends to be delicate, sensitive, dry and inflamed.
