Having fragile nails is a very common issue, and to better understaind it, it is crucial to break down what the causes and the features of fragile nails are. Fragile nails are also thin and tend to easily break, thus making it hard to keep them long and healthy.
The causes may be different from one person to another, but they can be summarized as follows:
Lack of biotin is one of the main causes of fragile nails, and so it is following an unhealthy diet.
Biotin, which is also known as Vitamin H or Vitamin B8, is a water-soluble vitamin. It is an essential component of metabolic enzymes, and a lack of it may cause weakness, hair thinning out (alopias), fragile nails and skin irritations. Due to the fact that our organism is unable to create biotin reserves, biotin has to be absorbed through the diet. It can be found in milk and cheese, as well as in avocados, peanuts, sunflower seeds, mushrooms, and eggs.
Together with following a healthy diet, we can also adopt natural remedies to take care of fragile nails.
If you are looking for a hand cream that not only protects, moisturizes, and nourishes the hands but also that takes care of the wellbeing of your nails, our Hand and Nail cream with phyto-keratin, castor, and lemon is the answer to your problems. This hand and nail cream has a heavenly scent and it is enriched with antiaging and protecting active ingredients.
The Hand and Nail cream includes organic lemon and castor essential oils and vegetable keratin to reinforce fragile nails. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin F, and bisabolol that moisturize and nourish hands and cuticles, while protecting them from cold and other external agents thus leaving them soft and bright. The Hand and Nail cream strenghtens, moisturizes, and protects the hands and nails.
In particular, vegetable keratin is a very interesting ingredient, since it is the protein that constitutes nails and that is responsible for its strenght. The degradation of keratin fibres is the main responsible for nails weakness and resistance. Our vegetable keratin is rich in peptides, polypeptides, and oligopeptides with restructuring actions.
Another top-ingredient for taking care of fragile nails is castor oil, which can be applied in its pure formula directly onto the nails, but that is also present in our Hand and Nail cream. Thanks to its affinity with keratin, which is one of the main component of hair and nails, castor oil is frequently used in cosmetics as a hydrating and moisturizing agent. Castor oil creates a film around hair and nails fibres thus reducing water evaporation and keeping hair and nails hydrated. It is a highly recommended ingredient thanks to its strenghtening and restructuring effects.
How to apply the Hand and Nail cream with phyto-keratin, castor, and lemon to take the better of it? Just apply it whe needed, even more than once in a day, to take care of dry hands and fragile nails.
There exist also other natural remedies that can be applied in their pure formula onto fragile nails to strenghten them, just like castor oil. In particular, you can opt for:
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera Gel is an active ingredient with strenghtening properties that can be used not only on nails, but also on skin and hair. Aloe Vera has a high concentration of vitamins, minerals, aminoacids, enzymes and many other useful active ingredients to take care of ourselves. As for nails, aloe vera gel can be applied every evening onto nails with a small brush, just like you would do with a nail polish.
