Fruit acids come from an upcycling project that recovers the peels and scraps of Italian fruits: Trentino apples, Sicilian lemons, organic Emilia-Romagna grape skins, and organic wheat bran from the Po Valley.
AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) have several beneficial effects on hair: they protect hair from free radicals, have anti-lime and anti-salt effects, and prevent the loss of shine.
Antioxidant Function: their rich content of phenols, known for their anti-free radical action, helps combat oxidative stress and maintain vibrant color for longer.
Anti-Lime Function: Lime makes hair drier, more fragile, and prone to breakage, and tends to fade and dull its color. Laboratory tests conducted on hair exposed to hard water, which is rich in lime, show that the sample treated with fruit acids has a significantly lower surface presence of calcium compared to the untreated sample.
